The brief
Ecom Studio wanted a fantasy-football product built specifically around Italian Serie A, not a generic fantasy-sports template adapted after the fact — which meant real match data driving the app, not an admin manually updating scores.
What we built
An Angular front end with a custom Canvas-based team-formation UI for drag-and-drop squad building, a Node.js backend ingesting live match data feeds, push notifications for lineup deadlines and live match events, and integrated payment processing for paid leagues.
The hard part
Real-time data integration was the actual engineering challenge — match events need to reach every active user's UI inside the same window that matters for a live game, not a few seconds behind. The app is live on Google Play with 5,000+ downloads.
